Here's an idea: pull the white spacer and take it to your local Ace or True Value Hardware and pick up either a brass or stainless washer that fits the bill.

I bought a DJ kit.  Save your money... unless you just have to have an adjustable needle.  That's something like a $50 kit and a main jet is about $3.  So far as I'm concerned, I wasted cash on that deal.

Thanks for all the advice!  Any little things I should know before removing the carb, or is there a specific order to removing parts?  Do I need to change the muffler at the same time I do the carb mods or will the stock muffler be fine?  I think modifying the muffler is going to take longer then I thought, maybe a new bracket, and I wanted to get the carb done this weekend, since I finally have the time.  Anyway, thanks again!

Do the carb first.  I didn't find it necessary to remove it either.  I did have to remove the seat and tank though.

I hope you have read through the vast postings on the subject - don't forget the shop towel over the starter, stainless allenhead screws, the little ones on the needle plate are #1 phillips, get the diaphram spring in straight, have the slide and bore very clean, and the intake tubes hose clamps tight when your done.

I've read through them, that's what makes me nervous.
