ok trieng to find out at what year they changed the switch.

If you dont mind please post what year model you have and if behind the on off switch (where the throttle is at) directly underneath the the throttle cable do you have a screw that holds the cable in or does your throttle cable screw directly into the switch.

I have a switch from a 99 and it has the screw under the cable. I own an 87 and the stock switch screws in directly, No screw under the cable. Feedback would greatly be appreciated.

When I had to use an assy from '96 in '86 , I had to do some mod's.
