Starting after drainig the carb?
08/09/05 at 09:00:34

Hey folks,

Obviously I've got a dumb question here.

What is the proper way to start the bike after I've drained the float bowl (say for a rejet)?  When I put that glasspack on I had a b*tch of a time getting it started again... and I've still got to dial it in... plug chops & roll offs...

This may be a good one for the tech section too...

thanks,

ks

Yup. With the petc0ck on prime, gasoline will flow to the carb via gravity with the engine off (or on). In the on position, the petc0ck needs engine vacuum (engine needs to be running or turning) to deliver the fuel.
