150/90-15 ???

Hey guys. I know a lot of Savages that said they went 150/90 with no trouble, but what kind? I just got some Dunlop 404's yesterday and ruined the rear within 20 miles. At 50 mph and above it started growing a bit and rubbed on the boxed section of the swingarm. At a stop there was about  1/4 " clearance. I didn't think about centrifugal force. I drive 40 miles a day on the highway and was lookin forward to that little bit of "gear ratio" gain. Any thoughts or brand/size suggestions?

Isn't that what a grinder is for?

OR

What about a new swingarm?

Sounds like fun to me!!

I use a Dunlop 491 Elite II.  However, it did rub on the left side until I set the shocks fully up and replaced the mounting bolts inside the fender with mushroom-head hex/allen bolts.  Just to be safe, I also removed my saddlebag supports.  I believe you can simply remove saddlebag supports and leave the shocks alone though.  I pulled the supports off while in the process of replacing the mounting bolts because I wasn't using them at the time.

I use a 140/90 Dunlop Qualifer on the rear at 34 psi and initially it did rub slightly on the right side in a hard left turn.  However, setting the shocks up full has solved that problem.  The real solution is, I think, to go to a pair of 12.5 inch or 13 inch eye to eye Progressive Shocks.
