The 2006 S40's.

Have any of you seen the 2006 S40's?

http://www.suzukicycles.com/Products/S40K6/Default.aspx

Three color options this year. I thought they usually only did two? I wonder if they're offering more options because the S40 is becoming more popular? Or do I have no idea what I'm talking about (which is entirely possible)? Cheesy

(BTW, the 2006 Rebel comes in white.  Looks like my bike's baby sister.  Very cute.)

I like the silver, kinda takes on a bluish hue.  The red is really sharp.     You know they gotta have red, they say that is the color of the mid life crisis!!  Wink

I like the black engine block, the fact that the light is off during starting, the passing flashers and the emergency flashers.  Otherwise, I'll stick with my '98.  Personally, I think they should offer the option of flat or buckhorn handlebars and let the consumer choose.  I won't go to the trouble of removing my engine just to paint it.  I won't bother with passing flashers because I'm going to install my headlight modulator.  I will definitely consider installing a simple toggle switch for the headlight to enable it to remain off until I turn it on.

It is black for me.
It is interesting that the accessory list is not up yet...makes me wonder if they will actually put up some really good stuff and maybe expand what's available.  That would be really nice,  This bike has been around for 20 years......maybe that's it....some kind of 20th anniversary special edition or something.????

Those are nice colors...

indeed, this is a unique, exotic  machine. I rarely see another one on the road.

Where is the flat black version with no logo on the tank, solo seat, no (useless) passenger pad and a chopped rear fender.... nah, where would the fun be if it came off the production line with mods already done.  Hats' off to them for sticking to the design and keeping it simple.

They'd best stick with the unwritten policy of no more than 2-3 per dealer per model year. I'm with Sluggo on this one. Let the masses buy GSX-Rs. THIS Suzuki model needs to stay on the fringes.

What color? I think the black one is pretty much the same 2005/2006 although I'm not positive.

P.S. Send or post a pic of you and your bike so Paladin can add you into our Picture Gallery!
