This 750 V-twin would make a good SuperMoto for faster roads, 17" wheels etc.

I usually don't care too much for the fairing'd bikes but for some reason this one has some appeal to me.  What exactly is this one?

WOW!  You can plainly see just how much R&D money Suzuki has put into the Savage in the past "20 YEARS".  It is just amazing to me that they keep the bike in production for 20 freaking years and the only iimprovement that is made is the switch from 4 to 5 speed...and that is only a PR thing, the Savage does not need the extra gear.  Other than the 5th gear the changes are paint color, seat design, turn signals and bar.

WHAT A FREAKING WASTE!!!  If I were stupid enough to do it I would bang my head against the wall.  I need to go for a ride and return to my normal calm center.

By the way, Greg, thank you  for sharing this with the rest of us.  I vaguely remember seeing this years ago and it is nice to have it again.

So... what would I ride if I hadn't come across the Savage, or if she didn't exist ?

I once had a pretty tiny Guzzi V50, 500cc air cooled V-twin, but they're close to collectors' items these days (especially my 48hp cafe` racer version)

exactly in these colors!  Smiley

I also had a BMW R65 Mk I, the one with single stainless steel disc brake and drum rear... I would certainly prefer the 3-disced version that came last.

Aprilia make the 600/650 Pegaso wich also doubled as the BMW GS 650 MkI...

But my Icon would be going back to the Ducati 450 Scrambler,

which, selling for Cadillac money, would see me opt for "second choice", the Aprilia Moto` 650, on show at the Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art Cool

Cool Cool Cool

I currently own a Suzuki Burgman along with my S40. I know, its a scooter but man is it fun to ride. It out performs the S40 and I can go grocery shopping with it. I sometimes miss the 83 Yamaha XJ750 Maxim. Only thing I didn't care for about the Maxim was the seat height, made it hard to get on with bad knees/hips. IF the S40 wasn't available, I would look at the S50 for a new purchase.

After owning three Savages going back to 1988, I made the choice back last Nov. to move up to a bigger bike so the wife & I could travel more comfortably.

I chose a Yamaha V-Star 950T because just like my Savages, I will do all service myself. No radiator/cooling system to service, no shaft drive to service & no spoke wheels to clean & adjust. I just went over 3800 miles today & would make the same choice again.
I've loved my Savages, but this bike is Sooooo SSSwwweeeeeeettt.
This picture was taken at the Texas Mile. We put over 200 miles riding 2-up that day and were ready for more. Cool

All it needs now is a trailer hitch that I'm in the process of fabricating.

I'd get a 2010 honda fury.  Honda made chopper very nice looking decent power.  only 13k brand new compaired to most choppers that don't have major factory support and are usually at least 20k.
