2 a : an incarnation in human form b : an embodiment as of a concept or philosophy) often in a person
3 : a variant phase or version of a continuing basic entity
In an on-line forum an avatar is the picture that expresses the inner you that you wish to show on that forum.  Every forum has different procedures and rules for avatars.  Here at SuzukiSavage.com custom avatars are forced to 65x65 pixels (picture elements, dots.)  To set or change your avatar simply click on "profile" at the top of this screen:

Scroll down on that page to until you find:

Personal Text is the text that appears below your avatar.

Personalized Picture is your avatar.  You can select from the stock images on the forum, or you can check "I have my own pic:" and enter the URL that points to your avatar.

You can cut and paste the url of an image by placing your cursor over the imjage, right-click to pull the menu, left click on properties, click and swipe the URL to highlight it, on your keyboard press [ctrl]+[C] to copy, place your cursor in the box on the above profile page and press [ctrl]+[V] to paste the url.
