Vocational rehab comes through... I hope...
04/18/05 at 03:23:18

see my voc rehab counselor later today about retraining or on the job training. Hope she's found something suitable, or better yet, has gotten approval for the course I want to take. Can't wait to walk into one of the local HD or Suzi shops and take over...

Lidocaine injection helps my back. I can sleep again!!! Now to get off of "vampire hours", back to work, and back in the saddle.

Boy oh boy, I hope this stuff works out this time...I'm going stir crazy.

What am I doing sitting here at 322 AM local (PDT)? 'Night.

...Glad the lidocaine is helping you get some rest.

Good luck with the vocational rehab. I am sure it will all work out for the best. Determination and drive are half the battle, and you certainly have that. You will be back in the saddle in no time.

Many get frusterated and just give up, which is understandable. Glad you are thinking positive.

Getting back on track is very difficult. I had surgery 3 months ago, and was off work for a few weeks. I too, was sitting up, wide awake on the computer, at 3 am. It throws your whole time perception way out of wack.

On the positive side, you have given some great knowledgable advice , here in the past few weeks. You have given me advice on no less than 3 Savage issues.
Thats a good thing!!!!

cheers

Michael

WD,

You seem to have so much knowledge to share regarding motorcycles, have you thought about creating a motorcycle tech website?  With enough visitors, you can get advertisers!
You'd have to be able to survive for a couple of years until the site got going.

I have a job interview Thursday as of this afternoon. At a bike shop. That I like.

And a shop that is very interested to have me as a service writer.

And a parts shop now wants me.

I'd open an online bike tech page, but, I'd rather do this for fun. I'll charge people for service and bodywork, no problem, but training on tech??? Naw, I'm just trying to pass down tips and such the way I learned them. Although I am starting to write a customizing book. Don't know if I'll ever finish it, but...

WD ... I'm pullin' for ya man ... hoping that things get back on track for you real soon.
BTW a co-worker had lidocaine injections into the back this past winter with great success. If you don't mind me asking, how'd you hurt your back in the first place?
A job with a Bike Shop seems like a natural fit for you! Best of luck pal!
