front fork dust seal install (Read 4 times)

front fork dust seal install

i had one of my front fork seals replaced and when i got my fork back it was missing the dust seal(the little peice of rubber where the two toobs come together).i was wondering what the install intailed. is it just a matter of slipping it on and seating it or is there some adheisive required? anyway you guys have been very help full and i thank you.

I haven't done the Savage's but on my other bikes they just slide over the tube and lock in a retaining groove on the lower leg.

Same here, but according to the book you are right.  It should just slide on.
