Really?   A survey of 1,507 U.S.adults by financial services firm JG Wentworth.

Sample size is way too small to make that level of percentage determination.  Of course if your Observed Reality aligns with this extremely small pool of data, then it must be true.  Because data that matches Observed Reality is correct.

It's a legit sample size. More would be better, but that's why it's called a "sample".

So, you're saying that people are NOT avoiding doctor visits?

It's a legit sample size. More would be better, but that's why it's called a "sample".

They didn't call it a "sample" they called it  "92% of US adults".  The sample represents 0.000560223048% of US adults over age 18.

When a sample size of 1,507 US adults show that 90% of "US adults" support Trump policy would that be a "legit sample size" to claim the US populace supports Trump policy?  This can easily be achieved by surveying in Dallas TX.

I would say a "sample size" that small clearly cannot represent "92% of US adults".    It would represent a small portion of Dallas, just like the JG Wentworth survey represents a small portion of their clients.  Or "92% of people surveyed".

The article is intentionally misleading.  AND ALSO people can avoid going to the doctor.

So, you're saying that people are NOT avoiding doctor visits?

No.  I said nothing even close to that.  I said the words typed here.

Just like all those CDC death certificates that "SAID" to put dying from a car crash as dying from covid.  Just repeating what they are TOLD and ignoring that not one actual piece of evidence exists.

Forget the source or the numbers, it's a fact that Americans have to worry about cost that most other civilized countries don't
Many choose food over medical care and many are bankrupted by healthcare costs
Should the richest country in the world have it's people in this predicament?

I see a lot of foreign tourist here and they fear two things, getting shot or having a medical crisis they can't afford
Would you worry about that going to Europe?
We would worry about pickpockets or maybe scammers
Quite a difference
Petty theft or life and death Huh

Then why provide sources or numbers?

What exactly is the benefit of providing sources and data just to say "ignore the sources and data" and accept X-as a fact?

Election deniers toss out numbers and then promptly say to ignore them.  What is the value in their data over just complaining about something they do not like?

It should be obvious people in the US will reduce interaction with medical providers based off cost since people in the US avoid pretty much anything that is considered to be too high of a cost.  Medical care is outrageously expensive in the US, people will avoid that if they can.

Because you're using it to ignore the point
The sources were the Independent and PBS, not some quack youtuber influencer
And the point was to start a conversation about the US being deficient in health services
Your nitpicking loses the point
Why can't the US match other countries with one quarter the the GPD?
It makes for higher Emergency room costs, loss of work, bankruptcy, higher infant mortality, and lower life expectancy
Providing decent healthcare is cheaper than not
Wise up America, we can all live longer and better for less

Incorrect.  I clearly acknowledge that humans in the US have excessive medical cost and avoid medical care due to this.

I just don't need to be fed nonsensical math to acknowledge it.  Your article can be misleading AND ALSO people can have excessive medical care in the US.

I can acknowledge poor source material AND ALSO agree with the general premise of the misleading statement.

PBS and the Independent are pretty sterling sources
What sources, other than yourself, do you trust?
Could I quote any source above that?
Should I quote Trump?

Give me a source you would rate higher than the AP, BBC, PBS, NPR, the Independent, or Aljazeera.

Trump?, Fox?, RFK Jr?, Jeanine Pirro?, Pete Hegseth?
These are our leaders and followers
They're somehow at the helm
10 years ago we would laugh at this joke, but here it is
Reality TV government
Idiocracy
So disturbing

Don't fight me,.. be disturbed with me
You know it's not right
There is no longer any Right/Left equivalency, it is insanity vs sanity
Trump is a TV reality show, a crypto grifter, a 34 times convicted criminal, a sex offender and pedophile
I don't understand how out of 300 million possibilities we got this

Hello world, look what we did   Huh

I can give you an example. My son's childhood best friend is now 38, has a wife and two children. He's a pipefitter. He makes a good salary. Two years ago he had a brain tumor removed. It cost him just over $8000. It recently came back. He was told another surgery and follow-up care would be roughly $65,000 out of pocket a year for 2 years. That was all the time the surgery would likely buy him. The amount is because his insurance will cover hospitalization and supportive care, but will not pay anything on the actual treatment! The company he works for is self-insured, like most US corporations, so, basically, his bosses are refusing to pay to help an employee that has made them money for over 15 years

US has the world's best healthcare? I don't think so.

It's not the source, it is the misleading interpretation of the data.  1507 US adults is not "92% of US adults" it is "92% of those surveyed" - but the article headline, and thus your post topic, is misleading.

This has nothing to do with Trump, Fox, RFK Jr, Jeanine Pirro, Pete Hegseth, AP, BBC, PBS, NPR, the Independent, or Aljazeera.

I am talking about blatantly incorrect information being presented as factual, then being told to ignore the presented information.  The information can be misleading AND ALSO I can agree the US healthcare system is outrageously expensive.

US has the world's best healthcare? I don't think so.

People mix healthcare outcomes with healthcare a lot.  The US has rather good procedural outcomes, but the general ability to provide good care is poor.

I know a 25 year old that went bankrupt over a hemorrhoid and at 35 he was barely recovering from the financial burden of a simple procedure.  There is zero reason for an outpatient procedure to cripple someone financially for a decade.
