It’s early yet and this somewhat falls under the fog of war where actual facts are slow to come to the surface (see what I did there) so hard to say what’s causing this but also keep this in mind.

The vast majority of media outlets actively work to portray anything Trump does as bad so assuming this slick continues, watch for the storyline to be Trump needs to end this in order to save the planet.

The other thing is the size of the slick relative to the damage will be greatly exaggerated.

Give it another day or two.
