Brake Pedal trouble.

Hey all- I’m new to the forum and I’m hoping this is the best place for me to post this. I recently installed a Delkevic muffler on my 06 S40 and after putting everything back together my rear brake pedal is incredibly difficult to push down and once it is down it doesn’t return upon letting go. I didn’t fully remove the right footpeg assembly, just removed the nuts/washers to remove the heat shield. I checked the return spring and I can’t see anything out of the ordinary, what should I do to trouble shoot? (Rear brake was perfectly fine and was recently serviced prior)

Look and see if you pinched the cable when you installed the muffler.

Unhook the cable at the rear brake lever on the wheel, and see if the pedal and cable moves freely.

If it doesn't keep looking to see where the friction/bind is that made this stop working properly.
