To be a high state elected or national figure by definition requires a level of narcissism above most normal people, that’s an obvious given. Let’s face it, Donald Trump is the gold medal winner for narcissism.

But as your public life is being flushed down the drain and potentially facing criminal charges if this massive fraud is traced back to you, why in the world would you double down?

Is it a carefully thought out plan to divert attention and energy away from an investigation into the state-wide fraud or is it a reflex action driven by narcissism ?

It’s narcissism. He can’t help it. He never recovered from Vance slapping him around in that debate and the subsequent blame for the Democrat’s loss, although that’s not really fair.

The moral of the story is be careful what ring you choose to fight it out in. Some rings you never recover from, some you lose, even if you technically win.
