I haven't seen any evidence presented that suggest Pretti's gun was discharged, accidentally or purposefully.  Certainly not seen / heard on video, nor stated by any official, nor reported on any report.

We see a fed agent carrying what looks to be the SIG away before the shooting starts.  Certainly not carrying that gun like any gun a trained officer intends to use.  Can't fire it when you are holding it between two fingers like a dead fish.

Who says that Pretti came to the scene to protest?  Maybe he lived right there, on that block.  If he arrived with those folks that came in to observe, those were observers, there to video record, not to protest.  Video evidence suggests that observing, not protesting, is what he was doing.

I'll stick with the evidence presented by my eyes and ears, not that from the professional liars.   Sure would be easier to get at the truth if the feds didn't immediately suppress all evidence and all access to evidence and to the physical area.

 Better stay off this forum then.  Empirical evidence means absolutely nothing here.  This is my opinion.

What I would want to know is if the same officers who encountered this guy here were the same who were involved in the shooting. Also, I wonder if on the day of the shooting, had they encountered him earlier.
