A U.S. Congressional Research Service report released on May 13, 2026, documented that the U.S. military has lost or suffered significant damage to at least 42 aircraft and drones during Operation Epic Fury, the 40‑day U.S.–Israeli air campaign against Iran launched on February 28. The aircraft losses included fighter jets, surveillance planes, refuelling tankers, and numerous MQ‑9 Reaper drones, with total aircraft attrition and damage costs estimated at billions of dollars.
According to the report, the damaged or destroyed aircraft include multiple F‑15E Strike Eagles, one F‑35A Lightning II, an A‑10 Thunderbolt II, seven KC‑135 Stratotankers, an E‑3 Sentry AWACS, two MC‑130J Commando II planes, one HH‑60W Jolly Green II helicopter, 24 MQ‑9 Reapers, and one MQ‑4C Triton high‑altitude drone.

It was 37 when you falsely claimed it was all airplanes. Seven KC-135 is an exaggeration in regard to losses since it's one loss and 6 damaged and serviceable. But it sounds better to say seven total losses.

If they continue these losses, at this rate, for 91.3 more years it will equate to the math posted that one week of Iran war will pay for decades of education, medicare and healthcare.
