It's also ridiculous to think Fugate is the best choice. I think he definitely could be involved, but heading HS is statistically better off if the human in charge is not politically affiliated.

What I mean is a data-driven human that can also apply years of expertise. It's like having a 22 year old surgeon that is pro-cardiac stint versus a 45 year old surgeon that's been on a few payrolls. They both can save lives, but the experience reduces uneducated bias.

I think it's plausible that humans from Iran are in the US and could engage in some low-level attack. Anyone that believed the whole Iranian ship off the coast flying lit-up drones in New Jersey was real, will probably think Iran could sail a military strike force to the US coast.
