Suggest you mount a piece of 3/8'' aluminum on the two thru bolts extending forward. Then you can do whatever suits you without modding the triple clamp.
Worked for me.

I have the parts to make one more complete headlight kit......if you are interested, it is winter and I can probably find the time to complete one more kit that includes the headlight bucket and adapter.

Dave I appreciate you -- I'm going to try my hand at fabricating a mount for this application but will reach out should things not go as planned.

I made one like dave's, worked out ok, but I'd like to make another that moves the mount forward rather than up.
