Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut between the seat and the handlebars. Make sure yours isn't too tight or too loose.

Well guys ,

I'm sorry I didn't stack everybody up for a ride on the Guzzi I had ...
But we can swap rides while we follow YouzGuyz around Texas if anybody wants to.   Smiley
I'm not sure about taking a 500 pound bike with street tires around any mud ?  Embarrassed    It might be dry by then ?  Huh

Dang ...   for 2025 I'll need to bring the 350 Meteor to visit the SISTERS . I'm thinking of letting the next set of tires for it be Shinko 705's 80/20 Dual Sport tires , and going back to the standard (lower) gearing sprockets.
Only thing is the 350 don't like running 70 , it likes 65 just fine but somewhere in the middle that smile goes to a strait line and things start to get serious  !   Grin

This found this on in the 2018 folder , there may be more ... I'll look

Charley was the guy who broke/cracked some ribs after finding some loose sand in a corner ... best I remember ?
But his bike sure was fixed up nice .   I think he had a Commander II on the rear and some really tall gearing.

I’m digging all the photos!  Looks like an adventure!

MM - I thought you’d be riding your RE Meteor this ride?  No?  What will you be riding?  If you go dual purpose tires on the Meteor, heck just go ahead and get the 411 Scrambler or Himalayan!

Hi Paul
I don't ever want spoke tires again , but I have looked at the Hunter 350 ??    I like the looks of it ... but my 350 Meteor is paid for and has a 19" front tire , DNA intake system , performance cam , and the free flowing exaust already installed on/in it.    I can put a skid plate on the 350 Meteor too.  So at my age I won't be doing the Baja 500 at break-neck speeds anyway ...  Grin Grin Grin

Yes , I'll bring the Meteor .    Thing is I have two Meteor s   One is a 350 and the other is a 650.
They are both nice to ride and putt putting around at site seeing speeds the biggest difference is the fuel millage .
The little Meteor gets mpg's in the mid 80's. with a 4.1 gallon tank.   Think of a 25 Hp Briggs and Stratton single cylinder with a performance cam .   Its just perfect up to 65 mph and below , VERY COMFORTABLE !   Smiley Smiley   It's the clear choice for solo rides and local trips.

The 650 version  ... Think of a Triumph Speed 900 with a 650 motor and a 270 deg. crank , cruiser styling/sitting .   It's equally Comfortable , has a longer seat , is 100 pounds heavier (as to the 350) and returns only 60mpg.   The Super Meteor is the clear choice for the interstate ride to Lancer's house (600 miles/10 hour-day).

Mine is just like the red one but with Givi hard bags and trunk , and light blue like Verseys    "Beast".   stocker  bike .

The blue one is the stocker and the beast is currently red but that's gonna change soon.

So are you going to be on the 350 or 650?  Still trying to decide?

I went and looked at the Meteor 350, 650, and the Triumph Speed Twin 900 yesterday.  As well as everything else they have.  I want the Speed Twin for the Meteor 350 price!

Actually, I talked myself out of all 3.  I'm too comfortable with the 26.6" seat height and more forward pegs on my Shadow Spirit 750.  While I'd like to be able to stand on the pegs occasionally, its not worth the discomfort for normal riding on decent roads.

Don't know for sure yet ?

If I ride or drive to Lancers house ?   Weather ?   Huh

But , the plan is to ride the 650 weather permitting.

The 350 can be on the interstate with gearing to run near 100 mph , but it don't need to be doing a long interstate run , its just not powered for 600 mile day.

Paul , I thought you were ridding a 750 Honda ?

Gotcha!  I'm not powered for 600 miles per day!!!  More power to ya!

I can see a 350 not being a 600 miles a day bike but ...

I remember when the Honda 750K "4 Cylinder" , first came to America .   750cc is a monster bike !

We went through the "Wheels through time" over in east TN.    I was surprised at the size of the older Harleys ... they were nothing like the HOGS we have now.    They looked like bikes I'd like to ride.

I understand the new my powerful Harleys have a problem with over-heating.   But back when the "V-twin" designed only produced 50 HP that design was just fine.   Smiley
