No. I got a Maverick. The bed is only 4 and 1/2 feet long. But I think I can get the S40 on it if I keep the tailgate down. That was my main reason for buying it, being able to transport the S40. I don't believe I will ever try putting the Honda in there as it is longer and heavier.

Congratulations on the Maverick Springman !

Hay , how long does the hill have to be for the 60mpg ?
the standard 2.0L EcoBoostŪ or the available 2.5L hybrid

You must have the 2.5 hybrid ?   Or   Is it the 250HP 2L ?

Huh

So Ford is getting 250HP out of a 2L ?

For comparison , My Chevy Colorado (2017) is only 200HP. @ 27mpg.

I got the hybrid which I think has a combined (between gas engine, and electric motor) 191 HP. Houston is relatively flat so I get pretty good mpg all the time. The picture I posted was of a drive home from work, it shows you the total miles driven and the time it took. So it was a very heavy traffic day. My normal ride to and from work without ridiculous traffic get me about 50mpg and I would say that overall I am averaging 46-50 mpg. On a long highway trip I expect to get 30-35 mpg. The other good thing about it is that it is actually very quick, it has brisk acceleration and the back seat is actually quite roomy and comfortable. Did not like paying MSRP for a car, but had been without a car or over 2 years.

I'm with on the idea of "Nobody likes to buy fuel" !  Wink

Maybe , I should get a Hybird next time ... if I ever wear the Colorado out ?
I've had it for years now (its a 2017) and its only got 40K miles on it.   It seems I ride a bike everywhere I go by myself especially in warm weather.
Imagine that ?  Roll Eyes

Hay , on putting your bike in the truck.
One thing to remember is that the Tail-Gate-cables are only rated for so many pounds ... you might want to set the lighter end of the bike on it and strap the bike in like it was going to brake the tail-gate-cables ? ... ?  Huh

There is nothing that says you can't replace those cables with solid beefier bars ?   They come off with a clip set-up on most of the trucks I've seen .  Smiley
Just an idea ?   One of my brothers had a short-bed truck that had a rail/cage that flapped over to keep things from sliding out when the tail-gate was left down .

I've almost got myself talked into getting a Maverick too !   What color did you get ?   Grin

.......................

I just had an idea ... Yes , I know ... Marcia tells me to quit doing that !-?

Here goes ... Both of my bikes now have "Center-Stands"
When on the Center Stand neither tire has weight on it , so ... If you jacked your bike up from the middle (or slightly to one end) the all the weight would be on the jack ... not the wheels .   You don't have to be concerned with weight on the Tail-gate !   Wink
I have a Harbor-Freight Motorcycle jack with a removable handle ... you could have one of them too !  It has screw down locks to keep it from rolling too.
Just an idea ?   Huh

I like this one better than the hydraulic one I have .   That baby fastened to a 3 foot piece of 2x6 should be stable as the American Dollar ?  Undecided Undecided

I have a similar jack to the orange one in the picture. The Mav's tailgate has a 485 lbs. load rating so I cannot stand on it and have the bike's weight on it at the same time. But it will handle the weight of the bike itself. I have not had a need to load the bike yet but before I do I will do some measuring to figure out best way to do it. It might fit diagonally with the tailgate partially raised.

Oh, I got Area 51 (color). Sort of a slate blue.

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut between the seat and the handlebars. Make sure yours isn't too tight or too loose.

Can you guys decide what cabin you want in Kerrville and get it reserved?  I would hate to see you staying in Fredericksburg again!

April 14 through April 22nd......give or take whatever days you want to arrive and depart.
