Savage sightings!
10/03/17 at 08:20:15

This last week I was surprised to spot 4 Savages out in public.  Two of them were parked at a building construction project along Dixie Highway.  The other 2 were in traffic - the 1 I saw yesterday morning was going 75 mph to keep with the other traffic on I-71, and got off at Buttermilk Pike.

Most of the time I only see about 1 a month.

It was nice to see folks using these things for their daily commute.

I've seen fewer than five locally in twelve years. One was at a light and the guy was stomping on the shifter.

Good to hear that Savages are out there on the expressways.  I've had mine for about six years and I have never seen another one except at the local Suzuki dealer.

Today I rolled my heavier Moto Guzzi out of the garage and as I maneuvered it around to get a straight shot out of the driveway I thought to myself, "I'm getting too old for this."  The Savage is so easy to handle, as I get older it will probably be the last bike I ever give up.

What Guzzi do you have?
I have 2 running, a 2008 Calvin and a 2000 Jackal.
I also appreciate the light weight of the Savage, But can not give up my Guzzis. Maybe a switch to a newer V7 when the others get too heavy.

There's no problem that a full tank of gas and a sunny day can't fix!

Or maybe the bike will be the headstone , either way
Or maybe me and the bike kinda like vacuum packed in a solid clear resin block( to keep the bike from rusting and preserving my Hollywood good looks )
We could start a new company preserving loved ones and the modo would be "If you love them , vacuum pack them"

I saw another one today at the KY Woolfest, in the parking lot.  It was black and had an extra pad on the seat for the passenger.

I spotted one this weekend in Tampa at a roller derby tournament. A 99' with 3500 miles, a little rough, but it had a new 404 Dunlop rear tire!

A 99' with 3500 miles,

The tire might not be all that new.
