How would you start a riding club?

I'm almost 60 and am thinking I'd like to have people to ride with, but have no idea how to find such people.

Make up a proposal letter and visit every bike shop around.
Maybe they will let you post it up.

Ask around.....most likely there are already folks meeting up and going on rides. You just need to figure out where they are.
Here in Cincinnati the Quaker Steak and Lubes have a bike night every week, and there are lot of bikers there. I have met up with several folks at those who could become riding buddies.
There is also a Cafe' groups in town that has regular gatherings each week, a local Coffee shop that has a gathering every Saturday morning.
And before the fire.....the Rabbit Hash General Store had a huge number of riders that would show up every night and on weekends.
And if those kind of things don't find you riding buddies.....find the popular roads in your area and hang out where other folks ride, and you could meet other riders at the places where they stop to take a break. On Route 10 in KY there is an abandoned store with an active outhouse.....riders stop to take a break and talk bikes at this old store. You need to do a little research and find these kind of places where you live.

Just don't tell them your name is SugarBoogers!
That has got to be the most creative name I have seen ever. Does not really evoke a particularly pleasant image, but definitely creative.

I didn't have a club, but hitting the loop, running through the cloverleaf, run back in to town, didn't take thirty minutes to have a few riders... after a while, hit a place, get coffee, hit the road.. we rode pretty much all night in Odessa.

I wouldn't want to ride with 20 or 30 people,... but riding with 2 or 3,.. or even 5 or 6 is okay...
If that's what you're looking for... just stop for coffee where you see a few other bikes and say hello...
Lot's of people ride solo but would like to ride with others... they just need to be asked...

Hay Sugar !
Go to CMAUSA.com and find a local club .
or better yet !
Join us July 22 in Dragon country !
Our member map in the Cafe section might have some of our folks in your area ?
Its more fun for me too to have ridding buddies , and I'd do more longer trips with company.

There's no problem that a full tank of gas and a sunny day can't fix!
