I rode to work this morning, so I'll be riding back home this evening.

Traffic was pretty bad this morning and so I had to cut through downtown.  Going through downtown you ride at 20-30 mph. While riding there I heard what to me sounded like a chain dragging on the ground. My hearing is not the best and the motorcycle seems to be running just fine. I have a verslavy. Based on my poor hearing I am thinking may it is a headlight rattle. Any comments or suggestions. G or PG rated only please. Cheesy

If it's a loose part, putting your hand on it will stop the rattle.
headlight, speedo, mirrors, pulley cover are typical.
but any bolted on part can and will rattle.

on the lower parts, use your foot.   Wink

I recently bought an evaporative cooler.  It is not an ac unit so to speak; although, it helps a lot.  They also call them swamp coolers.

Best regards,

Mine are OLD, and can't find anything like them online, but they have a strap, a hose with valve and a brass button with a tiny hole. Unzip the end, open, unscrew the end, fill, pump it up with the pump rod,, sixteen ounces of Coool.. Green, cylindrical with black strap..

Evaporative Cooler (A.K.A. swamp coolers) I have two on the house.  More energy efficient than  "refrigerated air" (air conditioning).  Most effective in areas of low humidity and temperatures of mid 90s or bellow.

Re riding.... Be on the road before 7AM and be done no later than 11, or risk heat exhaustion, STAY HYDRATED .   Cool

I went to Post Office today....   Saw a picture of JoG2. Something about a  reward being offered for apprehension and charged with "chicken rustling".

I don't have a mister but sounds like a good idea.

A couple of weeks ago I was supposed to meet my wife and son for lunch somewhere about 12 miles from the house and I figured I would ride there even though it was in the upper 90's. Well I went to looking for my mesh jacket and could not find it. Then I remembered I had put it in the washer the night before. Yep, it was wet, but not dripping, so I put it on. The first ten minutes or so of my ride were great. Once the jacket got dry, it was very hot.

It'll be 7 or 8 p.m. before I leave tonight so not overly concerned about the heat. Cool

A couple of summers ago it was horribly hot and a full sun.  I had to measure some streets - so that meant walking out on the asphalt.  There is a Lowe's next to one of the streets - so I stopped in and bought one of those little towels that you wet and "snap" to activate and keep you cool.

Well it may work in Arizona where the humidity is low - but in this area of 90+ temperatures and 90% humidity....all that the dang towel did was make me very, very wet!  It didn't do anything to cool me down.
