Mid July a very low miles 2001 1500 Drifter full custom is arriving on the farm. Had not been started for a year. New battery and she lit off and settled into a steady idle. On year plus old pump gas. My friend Doug has been looking for another one for years, this will be his 3rd, and the most customized so far.

I'll be riding the needs work 1999 (first year) with 137k+ miles on it. Plan to pull the engine and replace the way overdue gaskets and timing chains. Oddly enough, there is zero smoke out the pipes, so the rings and valves are still in spec. New front and rear fenders will be painted up, an e-bay tank will be painted up, and then a one day body swap, with the stock parts going in the barn.

I'll have to figure out picture posting via the phone when the "new" Drifter gets here mid month.

As for SAM (my 2003 Small Asian Motorcycle), at roughly 41k calculated miles, it needs some engine work. Tops out at 65mph, barely, and gets a best of 53mpg, rarely.

Her Dad is the one who lives here. He'll be 91 in November, but he looks closer to 191... Still has his Honda bike in the barn, and I still refuse to get it running for him again.
