09. They had been conducting experiments, one of which resulted in the color after black manganese oxide was mixed with other chemicals and heated to 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit, according to Artnet News. One of the samples turned a bright, vivid blue.

I don't think l was going to find it. It's pretty rare I heat manganese oxide

I don't think you can have a "new" blue. The colors are already there. Look at your computer. Capable of millions of colors and hues. This just sounds like a new way to create something that IS a specific blue color.

[quote] Even better? The pigment is totally nontoxic. “This new blue pigment is a sign that there are new pigments to be discovered in the inorganic pigments family,” said Geoffrey T. Peake, research and development manager for The Shepherd Color Company.

As if that’s not amazing enough, our new fave color could actually be great for the planet. “The more we discover about the pigment, the more interesting it gets,” Subramanian said in the press release.  “We already knew it had advantages of being more durable, safe and fairly easy to produce. Now it also appears to be a new candidate for energy efficiency.”

Blue my a*s ! The real color this story is about is GREEN , as in the color of money, as in taxpayer funded research grants, as in more "save the planet" bullsh*t.

Home Depot will mix that color up for you any day of the week for about thirty bucks a gallon. Sell you a brush too if you need one  Roll Eyes

Well, I was watching a health commercial the other night when they said their product made you healthier.

Her statement was " it makes water wetter"......

A surfactant, or surface active agent, makes water more efficient by making water wetter. Water becomes "wetter" by lowering its surface tension. The surface tension of water is a force that defines its behavior.

And I STILL DON'T BELIEVE, even after reading that.... water is wet, no matter what you put in it you still get WET....
Only way you are going to make me WETTER is to keep pouring water on me Cheesy

I am learning that the use of the words "epic", "will leave you speechless" and "mind boggling" are being used far to often for news stories that are not worth reading.
