I'm 5'8" tall, and the smaller shield suits me fine. I did have to do some fiddlin' with the "universal" hardware, but the shield doesn't vibrate. Remember the "universal" stuff we used to buy from the old J.C. Whitney? "Universal" meant it didn't really fit anything...lol.
