You remember when the Grinch Stole Christmas....and when he saw the Who's all singing even though the had stolen all their presents.....and how "His heart grew 3 sizes that Day? Well.....I believe I had some form of testosterone growth going on.....or maybe they just turned into "brass"!
In reality - I was humbled by how little I knew about what it was really like to drive at those speeds, and also about the capabilty of a race car. This experience was in a strictly controlled environment, and the only way I could ever had driven so fast was with an experienced instructor that somehow could convert my small amount of ability to steer a car.......into a quantum leap in results. I was taken so far out of my comfort zone.....so quickly.....it was hard to absorb it as fast as it was happening.

Photos are here. If you didn't know any better....you would think I was in that car alone....and had my own pit crew!

They had 6 cars in the rotation. Most of the time there were 3-4 on the track running, while the other 3-2 cars where getting the "used up" drivers out and the new drivers in.
Yep.....I started turning gray about 35 years ago....and the conversion process is almost complete for the hair that remains.

if you had really wanted to get your moneys worth, you could have turned in 25 mph lap speeds. Pulled over a time or two for refreshments and a smoke. That way your experience would have lasted about two hours.

It has been 5 days since I drove around the track.....and I still can't stop talking about it.
Wonder what kind of a birthday present I can get for my wife that would get her this excited?
Anybody know how to get in touch with Harrison Ford or Robert Redford?
