Title: Question about Valve Seals?
Post by QNero on 12/03/21 at 13:38:02

I was wondering if anyone has had experience with purchasing Viton Blue Valve Seals off of ebay? I've heard mixed reviews of them being red rubber, and may have issues with leakage. So I'm hoping that I can go with a performance part instead of keeping with the Suzuki OEM. Or should I just stick with the OEM part? I'm trying to "mod" the top end out fro performance as much as will be allowed.

If you aren't changing the valve stem diameter I am not sure you will get any performance advantage from moving away from the OEM seals.  Makes me wonder why you would want to change unless the OEM seals have a history of less a than desired lifetime.

I have used the Blue Viton seals - not for any performance benefit but because I could get them cheaper than ordering Suzuki parts.

I don't really see any benefit in using them - either one will function just fine and the guides will likely wear out before the seals do.
