I watched the Super Bowl yesterday and was securely planted on my couch with a beer and food so I did see the halftime show. I had no idea who this guy Bugs Bunny was until I read about him a couple of days ago.

As far as Super Bowl halftime shows go, it wasn’t that much different than any other one I’ve seen which means it was stupid because I don’t listen to whatever genre they call that crap.

I did find myself waiting for something to be said in English for a little bit, and then realized the whole thing was going to be in Spanish.

Interestingly, earlier in the broadcast, they made a point to say that football was America’s game……and then they had a halftime special all in Spanish. Go figure.

Wonder what other countries,
that do not speak English,
have a show in that country,
in a different language ?

The funniest thing I saw today was a quote from former Governor John Kasich about how much he loved it. What a crock of $hit. No way that 70 year old whiter than white guy with grandchildren thought it was great.

From Twitter: “Love the halftime show which celebrates the wonderful Latino culture. Great pick and great show. Bad Bunny hit a grand slam home run!”

I loved the show. I didn't even watch the game. I don't have any problems with the Spanish, and I agree with the (mildly) protest theme of the show. You don't do yourselves any favors by refusing to learn anything new.

Smart people: They don't speak our language; I wonder if we can learn to speak to them.

Stupid people: Why don't they learn English?

You did not love the show. Stop pretending you did. At best, you admired the effort that went into creating it and the upbeat rhythms.

I understand Kid Rock had an alternative halftime show.
Imagine if he sung in english the exact same lyrics as was on the Super Bowl halftime show….
