Title: Help identifying plug Post by macsmotors on 06/23/24 at 15:28:28 I bought a project that was wired by the devil on meth it appears. I have gone through and have eliminated some issues and even after looking at the wiring diagram over and over I can't see to figure out thishttp://https://photos.app.goo.gl/z6EjkfrcydhGaDA5A plug. |

Title: Re: Help identifying plug Post by macsmotors on 06/23/24 at 16:34:50 Thanks. I couldn't figure out putting in a picture I guess. Okay I am sans decomp I'm going to have to figure out a simple manual one. I'm awful with wiring but trying to simplify the wiring and get rid of the mess that is currently there. I'm building a simple chop out of this. I am reading that pricing for parts is a lot more than it was years back when I needed stuff before. I need a full rear brake cable and I new 109 or used 70.. |
Title: Re: Help identifying plug Post by macsmotors on 06/23/24 at 16:59:39 One more question if that is unplugged do I need to jump the wires or is that purely power for the decompression solenoid? I'm having some issues getting it started and saw someone else mention a fuse going for it and causing starting issues. I have tested the battery and relay I am getting a new relay since they are only $8 just to rule that out. |
Title: Re: Help identifying plug Post by verslagen1 on 06/23/24 at 20:56:56 I have a lot of take offs from RYCA so ask me. Decomp solenoids... got rear brake cable... got Decomp solenoid only has a hot wire and ground, nothing to jump If a fuse is blown, nothing will happen, no lights, etc. If you have a bad safety, nothing will happen. I'll look for a checklist... tired of typing it. start with trouble shooting guide. http://suzukisavage.com/cgi-bin/YaBB.pl?num=1403194022 |

Title: Re: Help identifying plug Post by macsmotors on 06/24/24 at 17:44:16 Got it fired up it was blowing the fuse due to the decomp wires touching and another spliced wire grounding. Got that sorted replaced the fuse and hooked up a fuel bottle and away we go. Putrs like a well a kitten with issues but no odd noises. Going to re wrap all the wires and try and get the actual fun part of the project going. Making a little easy chop. Keeping stock seat and sissy bar and just throwing on a gs mag rear wheel and chain conversion along with spacers for the dape ing rods to lift the front up an inch or two along with a square front light and that is about it. Keeping the buck horns because well I love them. |

Talked to the wife and she is good with everything (per her I own to many bikes but this is technically going to be for my daughter in 6 years) just rather get everything at one time |
