Just ran some errands on the bike. Took the long way around and did maybe 40 miles. Just wearing the mesh jacket but just got home and heck I'm a bit sweaty. I was going to go get a haircut but maybe I'll wait till next week cause I don't feel like showering right now. Guess it's lunch time then. Bon apetit!!

It is currently 65 degrees in northern Kentucky.....and the wind is go gusty that it blew a large wooden commercial real estate sign in front of our office out of the ground - it was mounted on three 4x4 posts that were only a foot in the ground. The sign has been there for about 2 years.

I really don't think it would be possible to ride a motorcycle safely as strong as gusty and strong as the wind is right now.

Had to try out my new 1 piece rain suit this morning. At 30 degrees, I was nice and toasty on the 2 mile commute. Thinkin maybe I'll take the long way home after work. It's supposed to hit 50 this afternoon. :o

65 degree sounds better than 30 for a ride. It was actually quite gusty here also, said gusts to 17 mph. Oh and it actually hit 86 f just a while ago.

2 miles is not a commute , 68 miles is a commute(one way)

I have to agree that 1 or 2 miles is not a commute. You need 20+ miles before you can call it a commute. I rode 25 this morning for a toy run, with the temp just approaching 50 which is not bad but the wind was from the NW at 30-40 mph. Riding North at 65 with a headwind of 30-40 is approaching a 100mph wind, and the windchill from that that gets pretty darn low. Coming back 2 hours later with the temp at 55 and having a tail wind made it needful to zip the jacket down to mid chest..
All in all it was a pretty nice riding day considering the wind speed.

Low 70's this morning, 80 in the afternoon. Rode some errands this morning, and a loooong way home, 60 miles. 40 miles to the range this afternoon, and 67 miles home. Partly cloudy, calm and a great day to break in a new rear tire. Left the bottle of Redline in a empty saddlebag and it was all shook-up by the time I got home to change the oil. LIFE IS GOOD IN FLORIDA IN NOVEMBER!

Well here it is a bit past 9 pm and we are around 60 f and if it supposed to go down to 47 f tonight. That's Houston for you. Tomorrow it is supposed to be 42 to 66, a bit cooler.

Today on the news they were showing all the trees that had blown over and damaged things - all the dead Ash trees have lost their strength and they could no withstand the 40-50 mph winds gusts we had yesterday afternoon. Definitely not a good day to be riding the back roads!
