Title: Savage sightings! Post by Dave on 10/03/17 at 08:20:15 This last week I was surprised to spot 4 Savages out in public. Two of them were parked at a building construction project along Dixie Highway. The other 2 were in traffic - the 1 I saw yesterday morning was going 75 mph to keep with the other traffic on I-71, and got off at Buttermilk Pike. Most of the time I only see about 1 a month. It was nice to see folks using these things for their daily commute. |
Title: Re: Savage sightings! Post by justin_o_guy2 on 10/03/17 at 09:14:46 I've seen fewer than five locally in twelve years. One was at a light and the guy was stomping on the shifter. |
Title: Re: Savage sightings! Post by engineer on 10/03/17 at 17:51:01 Good to hear that Savages are out there on the expressways. I've had mine for about six years and I have never seen another one except at the local Suzuki dealer. Today I rolled my heavier Moto Guzzi out of the garage and as I maneuvered it around to get a straight shot out of the driveway I thought to myself, "I'm getting too old for this." The Savage is so easy to handle, as I get older it will probably be the last bike I ever give up. |

Title: Re: Savage sightings! Post by Ruttly on 10/07/17 at 14:50:46 Or maybe the bike will be the headstone , either way Or maybe me and the bike kinda like vacuum packed in a solid clear resin block( to keep the bike from rusting and preserving my Hollywood good looks ) We could start a new company preserving loved ones and the modo would be "If you love them , vacuum pack them" ;D ;D ;D |
Title: Re: Savage sightings! Post by Dave on 10/07/17 at 15:07:24 I saw another one today at the KY Woolfest, in the parking lot. It was black and had an extra pad on the seat for the passenger. |

Title: Re: Rat Bike Sighting Post by badwolf on 10/10/17 at 15:14:55 I spotted one this weekend in Tampa at a roller derby tournament. A 99' with 3500 miles, a little rough, but it had a new 404 Dunlop rear tire! http://u.cubeupload.com/badwolf244/20171008105240.jpg http://u.cubeupload.com/badwolf244/20171008105252.jpg http://u.cubeupload.com/badwolf244/20171008105305.jpg |

Two brand new Savages at the front door of Cycle Specialties! http://i68.tinypic.com/v8g84w.jpg That looks just like a bike shop in Tulsa the last time I was in there, including the 2 LS650s at the door. |
Title: Re: Savage sightings! Post by Dave on 11/10/17 at 11:14:06 I sorta' got the impression that they do that because the Savage is the easiest bike to push in and out the front door! |
