I change my tires. I've been looking @ new tire changing tools and the field is large. Anyone out there changing their own tires with recommendations? Pics too please and links as well.

If this belongs in the tech section please move it!

I have found that a credit card just works a trick.

I change my own.  The best tool is some good hot sunshine.  I place the tires out on the driveway and the sun warms them up and makes them more pliable which is a great help.

Other than that I own two tire irons, medium length and two spoons.  I use talcum powder on the inner tubes and some commercial slippery stuff to help with mounting.  I also have a bead holder that is handy on smaller tires.  Don't have any pictures.

Looks like I need to go get me a generic cutting board and modify that little sucker !   ;)

Cutting board is a nice idea.

Up to now I've always just them fought them off and back on. And, yes, the sun & soap help a great deal. Just thought id see what others were doing that mounted their own. Always looking for better ideas.

Apparently a 12 gauge isn't on the recommended tools list.
