Amen brother!

We went to the local Memorial Day Parade.

I always have taught my kids to stand, hats off, and clap as the veterans go by. It makes me sad to see the vets walk or ride as people slouch in their lawn chairs, paying no attention or respect.

Indeed. Regardless of politics and rhetoric, people have died for what we have and we have it darn good. May the ones who didn't come back and the ones who came back less than who they were when they were deployed know they didn't give it all in vain.
