Title: Re: springer front end Post by Demin on 12/07/08 at 05:55:24 What I've been thinkin' is this.Almost,or all new springers are for Harley(somebody makes one to spec but it aint cheap. Can't rememeber who off hand)Probably use a Harley front wheel, brake, etc. Then the only thing would be the steering stem diameter, and length.Harley has a 1" dia. stem. They usually thread into the bottom tree.I had a stem made for a springer I'm putting on a Honda. They cut the threads to screw into the springer, machined the rest to the Honda specs. The machine shop I used was at home(in Ohio)I had to wait 'til he had time.but he only charged me around 50 bucks. |
