I had one when I was 19. It is a super reliable machine that I often took on vacation to France. Powerful enough for 2 people with luggage. Pretty fast too. And if you ride in the rain, you can ride verry long distances at full throttle on the highways without any problems; with two people and luggage, you could easily reach 100+ miles and get to your destination quickly. I have owned many motorcycles, but I personally found this to be the most practical. Repairs were also very simple. There is even a small hatch on the underside of the engine so you can work on the gearbox, for example to replace your shift forks.

I think the price is quite high for a machine that isn't original. But if that 15,000 miles is the actual mileage... then you can enjoy it for a long time.

Its a easy bike indeed !

It's 50 years old this year !   About 14 months ago I gave $4,550 (+ Tax, title + tag.) for a New two year old RE Interceptor 650.    After finding a comfortable Touring Seat and adding a Belt Drive system to it , I like it.
But , its "ordinary" and "adequate" ... so I still have the "wondering eye" when I see other bikes .  Roll Eyes   Those Bikes of Yester-Year seem to be more eye catching than any of the New Stuff !

I rode one of those exactly one time probably back in 78 or 79. A friend had one and needed someone to drive it back from the dealership since he was picking up a new 750-4. I never did ride the 750, but that 550 was nice.

I also owned the 750cc. It was significantly heavier and more powerful. Unfortunately, after refurbishing it, I reinstalled the throttle cables incorrectly—they ended up working in reverse. I thought I’d take it for a quick test ride, but when a bird suddenly landed in front of my wheel and I tried to roll off the throttle, it opened up completely instead, leading to a rough landing. Since just about everything was broken and I’d already exhausted my budget on the restoration, I decided to "rebuild" it into a low-cost, custom version by removing everything that was broken.

Eventually, it was stolen in Amsterdam.

Fifteen years later, I received a call from someone who had been hit by my old motorcycle—they wanted me to pay for the damages.
I also discovered who had stolen it: it turned out to be a squatter who had achieved national fame and legendary status. He died in a police cell shortly thereafter—it was all over the news. (I had nothing to do with any of it.) Life can take some strange turns.

I’ve ridden the 350 , 400 , 500 & 550 ; also never the 750. Everytime riding an early Honda  4 cyl. It felt like riding the future , way ahead of its time. And it had my favorite modern appointment , a Happy Button ! And a kick starter !If you had a 750 then you had a Hooker Header too , almost the Jetson’s ! Honda was riding the wave they created , Honda was on top in those years.

Here's a interesting question :  Is it possible to wear out a four cylinder Honda ?  Undecided

I had a Honda 500/four in my early 20's and it seemed like a forever bike .

Dad got a 750/four the second year they were available here in the USA.  He had about 50,000 miles on it before he passed away from a heart attack.
My nephew got the bike and it disappeared .    I'll never know how long it lasted ?

My favorite was the 400 it seemed lighter , with some lower drag type bars & 4 into 1 exhaust stock , it was a cafe racer right out of the box.  Cool
