Unreasonably sad about losing my clymer
06/09/26 at 18:17:56
After 10 years off the savage I'm trying to get it running again. It has sat in my barn and garage patiently waiting for me and now that my little kids are not so little it is time. Well I started gathering everything I need and the clymer manual I have owned for 20 years is missing. It had notes and corrections, records of service and modifications, specs, really just a lot of memories and work documented in there and it appears to be gone. I would not intentionally get rid of something like that and I have torn my house and garage apart looking for it. I guess I'm just posting here because I am unreasonably upset about losing it, after all it is somewhat replaceable. But I thought maybe some of you would understand and maybe take a lesson and hold those books and records close as once they are gone you too may feel the pain of no longer having access to them. That is all. Thanks for listening to me because my wife is sick of hearing about it.

It’s there , relaxe , but you won’t find it until another is purchased. Just the way it works. I would absolutely freak out if all mine went mia. So I get it !
If your garage looks like mine , well , good luck !

Unless you did some housecleaning in the garage (and had unskilled help), it is likely still there somewhere. And as Ruttly stated...it will show up after you purchase a new one.
A few months ago my ear buds that I use with my Sena headset disappeared. I eventually came to the conclusion that I must have had them in my jacket pocket and they fell out at a fuel stop when I got my wallet out to pay for fuel. I reluctantly bought a new set.
A few weeks later I found the original set - they were sitting on a black floor mat that was on top of my filing cabinet next to my riding gear - the black cord was pretty much invisible on top of the black carpet!
Now I have two sets of earbuds....and I am a lot more careful about where I store them!

Splash07 - I have a manual you’re welcome to have free. I don’t see myself using it again. It’s unmarked and ready for your notes. Maybe if I send it to you, yours will magically appear.
Send me a private message if interested.
