DGR yesterday
05/18/26 at 10:37:49

Just curious, did anyone else participate the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride yesterday. I was in the ride in Metuchen, N.J., 5th largest in the world with 297 participants. It was my second time. It supports a great cause spreading awareness about issues affecting Men's health, particularly Prostate Cancer. As a prostate cancer survivor I just want to say Thanks to anyone who may have helped through participation yesterday. Rode my 2003 LS this year.

Ive participated 2-3 times in the past, but could not this year since we are on our way to SC for a wedding.
Maybe next time.

What did you ride ?
I have a ‘71 BSA 650 Thunderbolt
that I would have ridden.

Rode my 2003 Ls650 Savage. It has been customized including, handle bars, mirrors, turn signals, headlight and exhaust. A black ceramic coated header, to Cobra slash cut muffler and multiple custom internal baffles. Tank was de-badgged and repainted to match OEM metallic Blue aqua by Auto  Presto at Body Contours of Belford, N.J.

I went on the DGR in Cincinnati many years ago on my Savage - it was a nice ride.

Somehow I have gotten out of the loop and don't know when/where they have them anymore.....I never saw anything advertising it for the last several years.

I am not sure I am getting any more distinguished or gentlemanly as the years have gone by - maybe that is whey they have avoiding telling me about them?
Sad

Hello

I did the one in Murfreesboro TN this year (my first) .   I rode my "New" - Old looking British Bike (RE 350 Meteor) from India !   Roll Eyes
But
I was Dressed for the part with a collared shirt/leather vest and chrome Bota tie ... all the shinny parts of the bike were doing their "Shinny" very nicely .
There were about 40 ridders and we never got above 55-60 mph so it was nice and relaxing !
We did stop at a beer and Pizza place after the ride ... I was with the last 4 folks to leave and enjoyed the day , I'll do it again if the chance comes around.  Wink Wink

When doing on of these "rides", do you trailer, or ride, from home?
