I worked for Motorola for nearly 10 years, starting in the middle '80s. I worked on top secret comm gear for the government. My clearance was through the Reagan State Dept. That's how I know that there are very few blanket top secret clearances. Not even the President is cleared for everything. That's also how I know the documents he stole and stashed at his golf course was an illegal act. Usually you get a very specific area that you are cleared for. Anyway, Motorola, at that time was 90% or better graduates from the US Navy Electronics school. Nearly everyone I worked with, and ALL the techies were ex-squids.
