Southern poverty law center funding groups to remain relevant? To keep their existence necessary?

And before anyone jumps on they “they were paying informants” band wagon, this was an indictment returned by a grand jury so this is more than paying an informant a few thousand dollars to meet the SPLC in an alley and spill their guts about what four clowns in sheets said at a meeting last night.

I imagine it will take a couple years for all the evidence to come out. Until then, this will be juicy fodder for talking heads.

I feel like there’s more to the story. If it was just money to informants, a grand jury would understand that. I wonder if there are emails or other correspondence suggesting the need to cause chaos in order to maintain an environment that invites engagement with the SPLC, in other words, keep them in business.
