There are reports of the Decompression Controller going bad and turning on for no reason....I can't remember if it triggers the starter when it malfunctions.
The decomp controller is 'on' all the time... don't know why.
the connector leaks water into the housing and can corrode the circuit board. This will cause the board to fail and turn on the starter launching your bike forward retracting the kickstand if it's in gear.
Kinda makes you wonder why it's mounted there and why it's pointed up. Maybe bending the mount so it's at least level would help.
