I’m not sure I’d label it a cruiser, but it’s pretty cool.  Looks more like a standard or cafe to me.  It’s not available yet, but it’s a pretty slick entrant into the popular “500cc class”.  What do guys think?

I see Belt Drive and Tubeless Wheels  , It looks like the Honda 500 (472cc) Chain Drive is in big trouble !    I personally have a problem with the big Radiator ... but the Honda has one too ... Honda also is going to have a BIGGER PRICE Too !

I think Kawasaki has one too ?     But CF Moto is price Smart !  

Its great to see medium size BIKES making a return !  
Seems to me that 50 HP on 450 pounds (or less) of bike is a Double "SWEET SPOT"  !!

I filled my Interceptor up with fuel today and it averaged 66.4mpg ... it has done up to 74mpg ... but I've got some new mufflers that needed to be heard a few times.
 
My vote is :  I think the CFMoto is a Cruiser !

In Oct 2025 , I bought my New 2023 Interceptor at my local dealership just south of the TN border (AL) .

I hadn't recovered enough to ride it ... but I was recovered enough to find it on the dealer's web site .  

The deal was too good to pass up !   It had been lost in shipping for a year and was titled as a 2023 but manufacturing date is 5/2022.  
It had 2.1 miles on it where it had been test rode once and the dealer said they had it sold but the buyer's financing fell through and now they wanted it gone ... so they drop the web sight price to $4500 + fees .   I went to look at it  and offered $4500 OTD .    
I got out the door for $4550.oo  as an out of state buyer then paid tax on it when I got back to TN.   Tax was almost $400. but < $5,000 total for a NEW BIKE with a 3 year bumper to bumper warrantee .    
I think about $7000 plus fees is normal for a 2026 Interceptor.

Its the same engine my Super-Meteor had (650cc) .    That RE 650cc engine has a small oil cooler but not the big liquid cooler.   Apparently  in Europe there seem to be some limit on the power new drivers can have for their first bike ... it's cut off is 47HP ... so Royal Enfield rates their 650cc motor a 47HP ?...    I've had two of them now and have a hard time believing the  47HP claim  limit , it seems artificially low.  
They have bore's bigger than their stroke (7,500rpm-red line) and 4 valves/cylinder , 270 deg.  crankshaft (twins) , hot tuned and oil cooled engines.  Their easy to like too - the smoothness is boxer engine smooth.  
I suspect most all modern engines are smooth now and are made for the "World-wide" shipping ?

The LAMS restrictions shouldn’t be considered in the stated HP rating.  The 650cc size is popular because it just slips under the 660cc limit.  My Vulcan S 650 is popular in many markets and for beginners they put restrictors on them (throttle and ECU) until the rider/owner graduates to a full license.

LAMS (Learner Approved Motorcycle Scheme) restricts beginner riders to motorcycles with an engine capacity of 660cc or less and a power-to-weight ratio not exceeding 150 per tonne. Bikes must be in standard form without modifications that increase power. Specific high-performance bikes are prohibited even if under 250cc, such as many two-stroke 250s.

No - I don't need to add Chinese made motorcycles to "my" list.  You can include it in your list if you want to.

I am 70 years old, I have a few really nice motorcycles in my garage - and I likely could go the rest of my life without buying anything else.  If I rode 50,000 miles every year I likely don't have enough time to wear these bikes out!

Time will tell if the Chinese companies are here to stay.  I have seen an awful lot of Chinese scooters for sale on Craigslist that are not running and/or offered for sale as a "Parts Bike" because they can't get the parts they need to repair them.

A couple of years ago I got a 1972 BMW R75/5 with 59,000 miles on it.  It had not run in 11 years and I needed to get the fuel system cleaned.  I was surprised to find out I can still buy the petcocks, carb gaskets, float needles and seats, points, etc. for this 54 year old motorcycle!  Last fall the cam chain got too loose - I ordered a new tensioner, spring and cam chain...most maintenance parts for this bike can be ordered from the BMW dealer and arrive in a couple of days - there are body panels/parts that are no longer available new (but a lot of used parts are listed on eBay and Craigslist).

I don't have any want/need/desire to own a Chinese motorcycle......I could potentially buy a Moto Guzzi V85 if I have a weak moment!
