The W800 is super classy looking!  And the modern BSA Gold Star 650.  Interesting they made it water cooled.  It kinda distracts from the retro look.  For a big single, not too shabby at 45hp/55tq.

I think you need to add a Bonne T120 to your collection, Dave!

Yup , the BSA is on the heavy side at 470 lbs. That’s a whopping 150 lbs more than my tracker , roughly a dozen bowling balls. But like I said if cog is low it won’t feel heavy. Tracker has a higher cog than my sportster , Sportster feels lighter after riding the tracker.  On my BSA 250-half pint I’m working on getting crankshaft below front & rear axles for a tight cog. I,m  pretty sure it will be my best handling bike to date. Half Pint will spend her Sundays hunting down & slaying Royal Enfield 350s. Theres one I see in town. Tracker made quick work of it , crack the throttle & bang a gear , watch it dissolve in the rear view mirror. I do like the W800 !

BSAs website kinda cheesy , not much info but I give them credit. Something like 6 or 7 years they were flapping their jaw it’s coming , well it is coming here , finally ! Like watching a volcano in ultra slow motion. I gave up my email in an effort to get more info , hopefully more relevant and up to date info. A somewhat incomplete spec sheet and I think it was available in 5 colors , my preference is the Highland Green. And a few BSA bolt on accessory’s , really not much. I can see aftermarket stuff must still be on the boat. The English love their motorcycles so I’m sure there is a bunch of aftermarket goodies to be had. Not even excited they took too long. That’s 6 or 7 more years love I have for my tracker. Building your own motorcycle does something to you , changes the way you look at other bikes. That’s why I was so disappointed in the Indian FTR , a multi platform bike. Instant turn off , automatically bike got 150 lbs overweight and all the modern crap they could pile on it. That’s why I didn’t buy one. BSA seems a bit different , we will see.

Well Paul, looks like I share your likes. I like the CF Moto and I like your Vulcan 650. I saw a Kawi eliminator on the road a week or so ago, and I liked it also.

Yes, I hope my Honda Shadow Spirit 1100 stays with me for a very long time. It is a great bike. I did have a leak develop on this last trip which I still have not had a chance to look at. I hope it will be an easy fix.

Oh, by the was, I put a lollipop baffle on the S40. It made it quieter and avoided my having to play with the carb. Without the baffle it would want to cut out at 62-65 mph. I guess it was running lean. Running good now!

The Savage without back pressure will not perform better ! A decent amount of back pressure is required and seriously keeps from burning exhaust valve. Even with my huge 2” exhaust it was necessary to choke it back to 1 3/8” with a packed core. Without back pressure , quite literally all your torque goes out your tailpipe Unused !
And it runs like crap especially with stock carb. Loud isn’t cool !
A perfectly tuned bike , now that’s cool !
