Saving a chunk, USED to be taught.

OH LOOK......

The more things change, the more they stay the same  Grin

I remember you bub, you doing good?

Yes, sadly folks look for gratification outward, believing what they lack will be found.

It just doesn't work that way, nope.

If you have no understanding of who you are, expecting others to define and validate you, is like a leaf blowing in the wind.

Fear is a commodity that brings wealth and power to those wielding it....

It's not just the homeless we see on the streets that are addicts, no....

Anger tethers you to blame, keeping many in slavery too.   :'(

I disagree.  The numbr of financial literacy programs are considerably higher today than they were over the past 50 years.  I questioned this information myself until I started doing the research, then assigned a team to look into it when setting up the program specifically for the at-risk youth at my shop.

The obvious reason is the internet, but even at that the education specific to saving money is taught extensively in high-school.  However the programs lack information in regard to how certain complex loans work, like student loans etc.

I don't feel the average kid does not know that saving money means they will have more money.

Is it wise, in a time when we are facing high inflation, to keep your money that is just a piece of paper?

I think we could all use a bit of advice right now.

I think paper retains its value better than money. But if you don't mind, I'll pass. Wink
