"ALL" motorcycles really should have regular cleaning and lube of the moving parts to keep them working properly. Brake levers, clutch lever. kickstand, foot shifter and similar moving parts should be taken apart, cleaned and lubed frequently.
You would be pleasantly surprised how much smoother and easier these parts work when they are properly maintained!
My kickstand needs regular lubrication. I've only done the clutch cable once but know I should do it again. My bike is stored indoors. Do you have tips/suggestions for lubing the shifter mechanism? Not the lever. I'm hesitant to disassemble for fear of not getting back in good alignment.
thx.
