I think it's just in Trump's head.  My opinion is this is all in Trump's head.

 This seems to have come out of nowhere.  An example is back in 2018 we were pulling out old training drills from a contract in Brazil (in 2012) where LEO/Military were addressing massive hostile gang contacts.  We went out there and assisted a Special Forces group with joint exercises focusing on gang hostilities etc.

 We pulled those drills and reimplemented some of them due to intel on Tren de Aragua in the US.  This is long before any of this was in "the news" but the signs of activity was there.  Multiple points of concern existed over time, unlike Greenland.


 I've never heard, seen a contract/drill/training mechanism for risks associated with Greenland - even when compared to the South China Sea expansions, which it was - I've seen those with my own eyes.  This is anecdotal of course, which is why it is an opinion, and as such is my Observed Reality and not to be considered factual over other verifiable evidence.  My Observed Reality is real, but not a qualifier for expansive data.

 It truly seems like Trump just wants to do this.  Much like he wants to re-open Alcatraz.  The cost of that will be quadruple what it would be to build an entirely new facility on land - but Trump wants it to be done.  Logistically and financially it makes zero sense to reopen Alcatraz, but Trump says it's gotta be done.
