I'm ok with taking the long way around just to stay off the Crazy Super Slab ! The potential for using Excessive Speeding as a FUND RAISER seem like a GREAT IDEA --- as simple as a traffic camera away !

I'm glad to use the secondary roads anyway , there're so much more plesant !

Totally agree, MM. However, in Texas, the speed limit is just a suggestion. Right lane is 65-70 (the blue hair lane), center lane is 70-85, left lane is for 85+. But when you ride the back roads, you better slow down in small town - speeding tickets are 50% of town revenue. Cops have to cover their salary plus $50k in tickets to keep their job.
You still have me thinking about the pokey trail Natchez Trace Parkway. From Houston, it’s about a day ride to Natchez, MS. It looks like they have a stretch of it closed down right now from French Camp to Mathiston (middle of no where in MS).
