So the idea that Venezuelan fishing boats are flooding the U.S. with fentanyl is not just wrong — it’s physically impossible.

 Nobody thinks those boats are coming to the US.  We are bombing the humans and the drugs.

There are no drugs. We are bombing fishermen. It's illegal.

 So if the goal is to illegally bomb fisherman then the boats don't need enough fuel to get to the US.  We are bombing the operators of those boats.

 Nobody thinks those specific boats are coming to the US, fuel amount isn't a valid argument.  We bomb factories, those factories will never have enough fuel to make it to the US.

If they're not capable of getting here, they cannot be smuggling.

 That's not even close to being true and you know that.  Smuggling does not require a direct unimpeded travel to a final destination.  

 Killing humans on boats is the goal.  The amount of fuel is not pertinent to that goal.  Claiming a boat, or any mode of transportation can not be smuggling unless it has enough fuel on-board to reach the US is asinine.  

 By your logic a truck full of fentanyl that doesn't have enough fuel to get to the US, "cannot be smuggling".  Also it doesn't matter because killing the operators is the goal, they could be sitting on the side of the road with no fuel at all.  Fuel amount is not relevant, they could simply pass the illegal goods onto another method of transportation - we all know this, which is why the fuel argument is completely pointless.
