Why is the Right refusing to pass a CR? It's because they don't want to extend the ACA subsidies and reduce the Medicare cuts.

Both sides are wrong. The problem is people claiming the ACA subsidies are for illegals. They aren't. The overwhelming part of this stalemate is about a program that illegals are explicitly excluded from.

I get it, the only way to argue for increasing healthcare costs on the US citizen is to claim it's about illegal immigrants getting benefits and hoping people fall for that. I mean how else do you argue that you want to let health insurance skyrocket for US citizens, while also creating massive tax incentives for humans making $499,999 + a year?

The "illegals using the ERs" argument is BS. When US citizens in other countries, countries with universal health care, get sick or injured, they go to hospitals in those countries. They are treated for free, or for comparatively very low cost, compared to the US. THEY don't have insurance corporations jacking up healthcare costs so the CEO can make millions.

If people are on SNAP despite having jobs, then the wages are too low and the business should have to repay the subsidies. If capitalism cannot do that, it has failed.

In what way? The Republican proposals consist of only a few members sponsoring. For instance, Senate, Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) introduced the "Keep SNAP Funded Act," but never got close to Republican majority support. Either did Rep. Kevin Kiley (R-CA) proposal. Blocked by their own party and also Democrats.

Both sides are at fault. Democrats offered SNAP funding proposals that were blocked by members on both sides also.

Plus, SNAP is authorized for US citizens, or legal immigrants. So, this is also a false claim that the shutdown is for illegal immigrants to get benefits.

How do you argue to keep SNAP from being funded? Falsely claim it's to stop Democrats from offering it to all illegal immigrants and hope people believe that lie.

What? The GOP is willing to let millions STARVE because the Dems are not on board with taking away their health care. You can't blame the Dems when the MAGATs are refusing to even discuss extending the ACA benefits. Then why didn't Republicans vote for the SNAP funding in any of the Republican proposals? Somehow Republicans voting down a Republican proposal is a Democrats fault.

There are no additions to the ACA subsidies for illegal immigrants.

Medicare is different than the ACA, and yes those benefits can apply to illegal immigrants. Democrats are entirely at fault for the stalemate on this, but not the ACA.
