Your opinion, OK
But, the Right have offered to fund SNAP.
The left have opposed. In what way? The Republican proposals consist of only a few members sponsoring. For instance, Senate, Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) introduced the "Keep SNAP Funded Act," but never got close to Republican majority support. Either did Rep. Kevin Kiley (R-CA) proposal.
Blocked by their own party and also Democrats.
Both sides are at fault. Democrats offered SNAP funding proposals that were blocked by members on both sides also.
Plus, SNAP is authorized for US citizens, or legal immigrants. So, this is also a false claim that the shutdown is for
illegal immigrants to get benefits.
How do you argue to keep SNAP from being funded? Falsely claim it's to stop Democrats from offering it to all illegal immigrants and hope people believe that lie.
