The problems can be boiled down to two key issues: there are too few distribution points to feed everyone, and the points are located too far into militarized territory.

The four distribution sites are deep inside Israeli-occupied territory. This puts Palestinian aid seekers in direct contact with Israeli soldiers. This was not the case at the more than 400 locations where the UN distributed food.

Many aid organizations argue that the problems were deliberately created. By placing the aid stations only in the south, Gazans are forced to leave the north. According to the aid organizations, this is the goal: to drive out the Palestinians.
